Today as I was reading in Alma in the Book of Mormon, Chapter 14, the words jumped off the page as I read about the chains they were bound in and he uttered his prayer "give us strength according out faith in Christ.
Like these old time men of faith, we too have bands about us that can seem impossible to break. Just maybe the key to over coming our struggles is to exercise our faith in Christ more fully.
I love this concept in the scriptures, it just seems almost too simple but the key to unlocking the door to where we need to be.

CHANGES TAKING PLACE IN THESE LATTER-DAYS
I began to think it might be nice to blog about those things that I am observing at this time in relation to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ass well as those things I am learning from gospel study.
Today I was thinking in particular to the recent change in which our Prophet Thomas S. Monson has called for additional missionaries and the missionary age has been lowered.
Today I was thinking in particular to the recent change in which our Prophet Thomas S. Monson has called for additional missionaries and the missionary age has been lowered.
Tonight
I was thinking about a recent change in
the Church in which the missionary age has been lowered. There has been an enormous amount of young
people who have served in their papers to serve.
It
made me think about the youth of the church in these time how they are much
like the stripling warriors in the Book of Mormon.
Like
the stripling warriors, the youth are fighting a battle, but one of a different
kind. Like the striplings warriors they
have been taught by their mothers (and fathers) and they know what they have
been taught is true so they have answered the call of the Prophet to serve. What an interesting time in the history of
the gospel this is turning out to be.
